“To Uplift and Defend Those Marked for the Margin”
As a 501(c)(3) Charitable nonprofit organization and fraternal order we serve to protect the public and stand in solidarity to support its vital interest in the prevention of the "Untimely Death" of our urban at-risk & marginalized youth of color, specifically young male adults. Who in consequence of being the predominant and most substantial adversely affected victims of intergenerational trauma, abuse, neglect and violence have developed a "Constitutional Psychopathic Inferiority Complex", and subsequently from within their respective communities have come to form a nihilistic and dystopian view of society.
As a direct result of the inhabitable living conditions (e.g. most often in crime-infested and poverty-stricken neighborhoods), inaccessible viable resources, a lack of educational & economical opportunities, and chronic negative social interactions with authority figures (e.g. Parents, Teachers, Law enforcement... etc.), these young men tend to resort to adverse at-risk behavior merely to compensate for their false sense of inadequacy and lack of social acceptance, which due to such maladaptive behavior inadvertently perpetuates their eminent and inevitable demise.
As Moorish Knights it's our "Raison d'être" and primary objective to alter such trajectory and to galvanize a united front, via a public consensus and consciousness-raising to such an eminent and impending threat to our very future existence as a people... For it is said, that no decent father condemns his children to the existential predicaments of his time.
Therefore, it is time to — and our sincere hope that — by addressing the socio-economic barriers and rectifying such injurious environmental conditions (consisting of negative influences and criminogenic risk factors), we may altogether eliminate the "Death Culture" which currently prevails and continues to plague our society, while providing relief for our marginalized youth who have been the unwarranted targets subjected to such harsh and excessive punitive treatment due to an overall lack of understanding and compassion.
We look ultimately to incite a mass mobilization amongst and from within the Black community to give mutual aid and assist us in providing the essential programs, services, and resources needed to develop and cultivate a positive self-image, sense of responsibility & social acceptance, and acquire the appropriate tools necessary so that these young men may go on to live productive lives and become contributing members of society.
Salaam,
